Read this before you follow any guide
Some steps on this site can delete data, void a warranty or damage hardware if performed incorrectly. Back up your device first. If a step mentions a factory reset, resetting network settings, opening a device, flashing firmware or entering recovery mode, assume data loss is possible. When in doubt, stop and consult a qualified technician.
1. This is not professional advice
TechFix Radar is not a repair shop, an IT support company or an authorised service provider for any manufacturer. We hold no certification from Microsoft, Google, Apple, Samsung or any other company mentioned on this site.
Our guides are built from published documentation, manufacturer support material, established troubleshooting practice and hands-on testing where a device was available to us. They are a starting point for a common problem — not a diagnosis of your specific device.
2. No guarantee of accuracy
We work to keep guides correct and current, but we make no guarantee that any instruction is complete, accurate or applicable to your situation. Software changes constantly. A menu path that was right when a guide was written may move or disappear after an update, and steps that work on one model may not work on another.
If you find something wrong, please tell us. We would rather correct a guide than leave it wrong.
3. You act at your own risk
Any action you take based on content from this website is taken entirely at your own risk. TechFix Radar and its author accept no liability for:
- Loss of data, photos, files or account access
- Device malfunction, damage or total failure
- A voided manufacturer warranty
- Software or operating system problems following a change
- Financial loss, lost time or business interruption
- Any other direct, indirect or consequential damage
If you are not comfortable performing a step, do not perform it. Take the device to a professional instead.
4. Physical repairs and safety
Some guides mention hardware work such as replacing a battery or reseating a component. These are described for information only.
Opening a device typically voids its warranty. Lithium-ion batteries are a fire and explosion hazard: never puncture, bend or crush one, and never continue using a battery that has swollen. Mains electricity can kill. If a device is under warranty or covered by AppleCare, Samsung Care or a similar plan, use that cover rather than opening the device yourself.

Windows and Microsoft are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Android and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. iPhone, iPad, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. All other product names, logos and brands are the property of their respective owners.
