Privacy Policy
What TechFix Radar collects, why, and what you can do about it — written in plain English.
This policy explains how TechFix Radar (www.techfixradar.com) handles information about the people who visit it. The site is owned and operated by Saif Khan and is hosted on Google's Blogger platform.
By using this website you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree with any part of it, please stop using the site.
The short version
We do not ask you to create an account, we do not run a mailing list, and we do not sell data to anyone. The only personal information we ever hold is an email you send us yourself. Standard web logs and advertising cookies are handled by Google, not by us.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Automatically collected data
Like every website, this one receives basic technical information from your browser each time you load a page. Because the site runs on Blogger, this data is collected and held by Google:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device type
- Date and time of your visit
- Pages you viewed and how long you stayed
- The website or search engine that referred you
We see this only as anonymous, aggregated statistics — for example "1,200 people read the Windows 11 WiFi guide this month". We cannot identify an individual reader from it.
1.2 Information you give us voluntarily
If you email us or leave a blog comment, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name or display name, your email address, and the content of your message. We use this only to reply to you and, in the case of comments, to display them publicly on the post.
1.3 What we do not collect
- We do not have user accounts, logins or passwords
- We do not run a newsletter or mailing list
- We never ask for payment details — nothing on this site is for sale
- Our browser tools do not send your input anywhere; see section 6
2. How we use information
- To understand which guides are useful and which need rewriting
- To find and fix broken pages, broken links and slow loading
- To reply to emails and moderate comments
- To detect spam and abuse
- To display advertising, if and when advertising is enabled — see section 3
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone, and we never will.
3. Advertising and third-party cookies
TechFix Radar currently displays no advertising. We intend to apply to Google AdSense, and if that application is approved, ads will begin appearing on this site. This section describes what will happen at that point.

Third-party advertising networks may also use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to measure advertising effectiveness. These technologies are controlled by those networks, not by TechFix Radar, and are covered by their own privacy policies.
4. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site may use them to remember display preferences, to keep Blogger's comment system working, to gather anonymous traffic statistics, and — once advertising is enabled — to serve ads.
You can block or delete cookies at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you reading any guide on this site, though the comment system may stop working correctly.
5. Data from readers in the EU, UK and California
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent for advertising cookies.
In practice we hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed us or left a comment, there is no personal data of yours in our possession. If you have, email us using the address in section 10 and we will delete it. We do not charge for this and we will act within 30 days.
6. Our browser tools
The tools section of this site contains small utilities such as a JSON formatter, a password generator and a timestamp converter. Except for the IP checker, these run entirely inside your browser. Anything you type or paste into them stays on your device, is never transmitted to a server, and is gone when you close the tab.
The What Is My IP tool is the one exception. It queries an external lookup service to find your public IP address, because a browser cannot determine that by itself. We do not store or log the result.
7. Links to other websites
Our guides link to manufacturer support pages, official documentation and other external sites. Once you follow such a link you are on someone else's website, governed by their privacy policy. We have no control over their practices and are not responsible for their content.
8. Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security and changes to this policy
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on Google's infrastructure, which applies its own security standards. No website can promise absolute security, and we make no such promise.
We may update this policy as the site changes — for example when advertising is enabled. Any revision will appear on this page with a new "last updated" date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
